HEY GUYS YOU'RE HERE! LET'S LOOK AT CUTE SHIZ

It's beginning to look a lot like let's get ahead of the X-mas (and Holiday) crazy

Going to Bath and Body Works to get my free birthday treat and some hand sani today, I realized their fall scents were already gone! So much for my apple scented lotion! Already gone!

The store was already glittering with holiday everything. The Grinch has already stolen Halloween. In retail world they are always a few months ahead.

Bath and Body Works Wallflowers are so good this year!

I'm getting real with myself. . . I also need to get a few months ahead. Have a plan etc.

When I get some holiday stuff planned, it's much much less stressful when the holidays sneak up! I'm opting out of worrying about Thanksgiving this year. I don't care. Maybe we'll go out to eat again this year or order in but whatever. I'm going straight for Christmas this year.

I think one of the first things to do is decide what kind of holiday you want. Make room for your favorites right away. Do you want peace, joy, laughter, cake? All of the above? Do you want quieter, action packed, or alternating? Plan for it. If you want peace limit the amount of invites you'll accept. If you want a more meaningful holiday maybe volunteer ahead of time to help at food banks or serving the homeless etc. Find a few host families to help as a neighborhood.

I'm prioritizing going ice skating this year (Syd's first time). . . and to see the river of lights. I wanna bake. I want to watch an ungodly amount of Hallmark etc.

As much as I love to cook, I'm not in the mood to stress over the Christmas feast. I want to eat fancy holiday food at home. I'm not gonna cook it. I found a lovely holiday catering package at Whole Foods that can be picked up heated up and plated. I'm so down.

Here's The link to their Holiday Catering offerings if you are similarly inclined. (click the picture)

It's gonna be my Husband, Mom, Myself, mine and my Mom's Dogs Sherlock and Roxy, and whomever we are close to that wants to join us.

I'm thinking of doing some fun Games on Christmas Day with my family friends and neighbors like i've seen on Tik Tok instead of a gift exhchange. We will win silly prizes, money, and lottery scratch offs etc.

I love these!

I can't stop laughing!!

Ralph Lauren Christmas is trending and I'm feeling it. We have everything to do a lovely Traditional Holiday seeped in Faux 90's old money. I do a trend upstairs and down. . . Not sure what upstairs will be, but the main floor will be good ol ralphie with lots of greenery, red, brass and plaid. I won't have to shop I have this all in my arsenal! Girl math says it saves money!

This Youtuber nails it if you want a deeper look!

Of course I made you all an amazon style boards for this.

Our across the way neighbor's baby and our dog have the same birthday. . .Gonna do an Elf themed ugly

Christmas sweater party maybe with Kareoke. Easy. Fun. mocktail Egg nog pong? Something silly I think.

This year I want to go to some beautiful and joyful caroling style Christmas eve church services. (I'm spiritually eclectic) I want to take mom. We need to remember my late father in a sacred way. He was a December baby and an ordained minister and he loved Christmas. Candlelight needs to happen too. I need some meaning and some thing sacred.

Think about what you want and start prioritizing. Put your most wanted on the calender first. Otherwise you'll be at the mercy of everyone and everything else pulling on you and trying to guilt trip you! If you have a big family put down the usual obligations like concerts etc. Ask your littles what would make the Holidays special for them. Teach them how to plan something meaningful.

Gifts. . . Start idea lists for the people you love now. Trickle in the mental labor so you have brilliant ideas not frazzled last minute crazy guessing and overspending

Start your lists and budgets now.

Acorns. An awesome app that I use to round up my spending to the nearest dollar. You can leave your investments in (Would make a cool gift to contribute to over time and let a kid cash out as an adult). Some years I'll treat this as passive savings and cash out at Christmas. If you use my link below before 11/2 this year they'll give us both $50 to invest! Free money!

Cha Ching!!

Experiences over things. Remember special gifts will be cherished yes, but it's the memories and times with those we love that really matter. They are what we hold close over the years. Do things that are special. Dress up. Try something weird!
